Hi - I'm Michelle!
I’m a corporate refugee and former road warrior turned nutritionist. I worked in the hypercompetitive publishing industry for more than 20 years where I experienced mergers, acquisitions, and constant industry disruption. The long hours, travel, and stress affected my wellness, which affected my family’s well-being.
I experienced joint pain, weight gain, fatigue, and prediabetes. Lasting through a quiet day in the office, let alone a meeting-filled one, or traveling cross country to visit customers was an ongoing struggle. My young kiddos wanted a mummy who could play with them after work, instead of sitting on the couch ‘just for a minute guys’ and waking up an hour later. My doctor told me I was getting older. I was afraid of the ongoing decline, the increasing pain, and the prescriptions that were in my future.
Refusing to accept this, I did what I do best—dove into researching solutions. All roads led to nutrition. I had outsourced my family’s nutrition to others through processed foods, takeout, and other meal time-savers. I experimented to figure out food sensitivities and how to reduce blood sugar swings. This reduced inflammation and the pain went away, the weight fell off, my prediabetes did not progress and my energy returned. Eight years later, my joints are still pain-free. I can’t remember the last time I took an ibuprofen. I take no prescription medications. I’m still getting older, but I feel better today than I did then.
Wanting to learn more, I furthered my academic studies at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and graduated with the Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) designation. With extensive training in nutrition, specialized diets, vitamin and mineral supplementation, herbal and traditional remedies, I empower parents in busy corporate jobs to utilize nutrition to enjoy their work, their family, and their life!
